This notice covers the OccamIQ website at occamiq.com. The OccamIQ application at app.occamiq.com is covered by the agreement with your organization.
What this website collects
Browsing the website does not set cookies, run analytics or load scripts from other companies. Our servers process your IP address to deliver pages and to protect the site from abuse. Request logs do not record the pages you visit.
When you send the contact form, we store what you entered: your name, work email, company, role, the number of endpoints you manage if applicable, what you asked for and your message. To limit spam we also store a keyed hash of your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string. We do not store the IP address itself.
Why we use it
We use your request only to reply to you and to arrange what you asked for. The legal basis is the steps you asked us to take before a possible contract and our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries and keeping the form free of abuse. We do not sell your details or use them for advertising.
Where it is stored and who processes it
Requests are stored in our database hosted by Scaleway in Paris, France. A notification with your request is sent through Scaleway Transactional Email in France to our company mailbox, hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland.
How long we keep it
Contact-form records in our live database are removed automatically once they are more than 180 days old, with cleanup running hourly. This does not delete correspondence in our company mailbox or copies already held in restricted recovery backups. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to answer your request or manage a customer relationship; backup copies expire under our recovery retention policy. A limited audit record of the company, inquiry type and fleet size is retained separately for security and accountability. If the conversation turns into a customer relationship, its agreement governs the information needed for that relationship.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your details, ask us to correct or delete them, or object to how we use them. Email hello@occamiq.com or send your request through the contact form with “Something else” selected, using the same email address. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
